About Michael Wye

Michael Wye is the nom de guerre of the founder of WITDW.

For 18 years at Giant Computer Company (GCC), as we will call it, Wye worked on things like real-time seismic event / nuclear event detection, software for the Space Shuttle, ballistic missile defense systems, and numerous classified programs.

Subsequently at GCC, Wye developed architectures and solutions for clients in the transportation, energy, telecom, food processing, financial services, and health care industries.

Wye then served as Chief Architect of a $200M subsidiary of a telecomm firm, developing solutions for complex DoD programs.

Wye subsequently worked as a consultant to financial services and public sector clients, concentrating on organizational and technological changes required to build cohesive Enterprise Architectures and improve success in application development.

Wye hides behind his pseudonym to facilitate continued involvement in the industry while writing and speaking without restraint about why IT doesn’t work.
